Loaded Lacquer - The Jiggles Collection (5/10)

Ok y'all! So I have FINALLY swatched the 5 Jiggles from Loaded Lacquer that I've had for a while. Things just kept coming up! But no more worries! I've got them right here for you!!! Let's begin, shall we!? Let me first start you off with one of my absolute favorites I have...

Acai Berry
This is the beautiful Acai Berry in 3 coats with NO top coat! These babies are so shiny/glossy on their own! And they are so long lasting!!! Seriously tho...I painted these last Wednesday afternoon (May 14th), snapped, and posted this pic on Thursday (15th), and as of today (May 19th), there are NO chips! NONE! How is that possible!? Especially without top coat!? It's like magic, y'all! But that's just 1 great things about this squishy jelly. It's so..."vampy"! Such a beautiful, deep, dark maroon-y color. Expect to see this as a base for some Buffy the Vampire Slayer nail art soon!

Coconut
Coconut!!! How absolutely stunning, and cleansing is this Jiggle!? This is just a simple, single coat with NO top coat! Look at that shine! I swear there's no top coat! If you don't believe me, go buy you some! I'll be so happy to prove you wrong! Coconut is really easy to build up to opacity. I apply about 3-4 thin coats when I want it to be opaque. This Jiggle is also really fun to make "jelly sammiches" with! This is the only Jiggle I've tried to make a jelly sammich with, and I was in love! I need to start experimenting with my other Jiggles, and glitters to see what I can come up with!

Toasted Marshmallow
I like to describe this Jiggle as "Love in a Bottle"! It is sooo gorgeous! 3 thin coats pictured with NO top coat again! I don't know how the amazing Heather (owner/creator of Loaded Lacquer) managed to make all of these so perfectly! It was so hard for me to get a good picture of all of these simply, because they were TOO glossy! haha. I kept getting a slight reflection of myself on my nails! Crazy!!!

Pomegranate
If this extremely glossy picture of Pomegranate doesn't convince you, then I don't know what would! 3 thin coats with NO top coat! I swear! This wasn't even taken in direct sunlight, because I couldn't capture it! TOO SHINY! How could that EVER be a bad thing!? ;P The only downfall for me with this polish is my VNL (visible nail lines). I've never been a big fan of showing off my VNL, solely for the fact that they're not all the same. Some go straight across, some curve. But with enough build up with this polish, they practically vanished! You just gotta make sure they're super clean! ;) Other than that, this polish is seriously the most perfect, squishy pink I have ever laid eyes on!!! Can you look away? Don't lie to me!

Island Punch
This bright, cheerful blue is called Island Punch! Only 2 coats for this one, and again...NO top coat! It may not be as glossy as the rest of them, but it's still super shiny! I was just able to hide some of it so you could actually see the color, and not be blinded! lol. Again, I absolutely love this squishy blue, but it has the same downfall as Pomegranate for me. VNL. But nothing says you don't have to have an undie for it, or anything. I'm just not a fan of my VNL, but that surely doesn't take away from my love for this gorgeous blue Jiggle!

Overall

I absolutely love The Jiggles! I hope I can get to the other 5 soon! These were my very first jelly polishes ever, and I was a little worried about the application process, since it was so new. But they were all so easy to apply. So easy that majority of my swatches are done on my Cinderella Hand! lol. So worth the buy in my book!

Heather's shop goes offline from time to time, because she's a badass, and gets a lot of orders, and sells out quick! Her online store found here, but it doesn't reopen until tomorrow (May 20th). Be sure to find her on instagram (@loadedlacquer), or on FB (/loadedlacquer) to stay updated on her shop, and polishes!

This Week With Loaded Lacquer

Tomorrow (May 20th) she will be restocking ALL polishes but Tiki Torched (from The Hula Girl Collection).

Tomorrow will be the LAST restock of 5 polishes! Once they're gone, they're gone! So be sure to check out, 40 Below, The Dog Ate My Homework, Cave of Skulls, Innocent Until Proven Guilty, and Foolish Hearts before your chance gets sold to the girl next door!

A custom polish she made for a wonderful nail enthusiast (@thepolishgeek on instagram) named "Loaded Geeks" will be open to the public!!! It is an amazing glitter bomb!!! Seriously...I may have to pick pocket my boyfriends wallet for this polish! hehe.

She's also got an AMAZING summer collection coming out at the end of this week (May 23rd, which happens to be mine, and Corbey's 2 year anniversary)! It's called The Summer Sushi Bar Collection, and let me tell you...IT IS SO STUNNING! You can find swatches/macros/photos when you visit her social networks, so be sure to check them out!!!

Loaded Lacquer - The Hula Girl Collection!!!

Hey y'all! So as you know, I've been in the long, stressful process of packing, moving, and unpacking. Well, our first night in our new house was last Thursday, so it's been a week now, and we've been realizing throughout this week that we didn't quite pack up every single thing we owned. What a pain! lol. And to make my move even more difficult, I had received 2 nail mail packages, both from the lovely Heather over at Loaded Lacquer! The first package I received was a big 10 polish haul! My absolutely amazing boyfriend had ordered them as another late birthday present without me knowing! And then 2 more polishes from the awesome giveaway Heather had hosted! So, I had 12 new Loaded Lacquer babies to play around with, but I was stuck moving! UGH! But, in the midst of all the craziness, I was able to at least swatch The Hula Girl Collection! Woohoo! So let's begin my first real review blog post! Enjoy!

First up, we've got my personal favorite from the collection, Tropical Moment.

Taken indoors to see all the flakey beauty

Yes! This IS ONE polish! Here, I used 3 thin coats of the pink & gold flakey goodness on their own with top coat. My accent nails were 2 thin coats over a BLACK base, and it looks like a totally different polish! How could you not love it!? This is my first flakey-packed polish I've ever really owned, or used, and it was super easy to apply! Definitely not chunky like I was worried it might be (only because I didn't know how flakey polishes were). But I am SO pleased with this polish!

Sunlight semi-hid the beautiful flakes
Even though you can't really see the flakey goodness in my classic hand pose above, this polish is stunning in the sunlight! Just pure joy on my fingertips!

Next up, Get Lei'd.

Look closely! Not your every day orange!

Ok, I had a very difficult time trying to capture the blue, and purple micro shimmers this bright orange polish has! It took me 4 thin coats to achieve the opacity I preferred. If you look really closely you can kinda tell, it's no ordinary neon orange polish! This is 3 thin coats with a top coat. Doesn't this just scream, "Summer!"? I gotta work on my tan, though, I bet it would be absolutely fierce with a fresh tan!

Pictured below is Get Lei'd with a glitter gradient of Dashboard Dancing (also apart of The Hula Girl Collection)!

Dashboard Dancing is the perfect name for this blue/purple/green/red glitter bomb! All I can think about is the the ocean, and a little hula girl dancing on my dashboard! Now I want to take a road trip to the beach(; But seriously, this glitter looks beautiful on practically anything! You'll get to see it a little more when you keep reading, so don't stop now! :)

Tiki Torched to me is just so...classy, with a beautiful pink shimmer twist!

Best clear shot I could get of that pink shimmer.
You can REALLY see that pink shimmer when it's blurry!

This is 3 thin coats with a top coat. I had a difficult time trying to capture the pink shimmer this has, but I did it! Well, I'm pretty happy with it, anyway. lol. I've actually been wearing this polish on my Cinderella Hand for over a week now! It's all chipped, because I've been moving a lot of stuff into our new house, and unpacking. That does some damage! But not only did I have this color on my hand, I just had to pair it with...Dashboard Dancing!

I just love it!

See! What did I tell you about this dashing polish!? It looks beautiful on practically anything! Proof my friends! ;P

Last, but certainly not least...Paradise Overdose!

This is a gorgeous polish jam packed full of micro purple/blue/green glitters that only took 2 thin coats to achieve opacity! It was really difficult to capture the beautiful glitters, but I did post a video on my Instagram earlier this week, so be sure to check that out, if you wanna see this baby in action! Below is a blurry picture, but you can see the awesome glitters hidden away.

Eh? Eh? Shinyyy...O_O
You know what I just thought of? This seems like it would make a great base for some galaxy nail art! I think I might run with that epiphany, and create some really soon!

Overall, I am head over heels in love with The Hula Girl Collection! All the polishes were easy to apply! I didn't have to dig for glitters out of Dashboard Dancing, the brushes are all on point, and the product itself is just...magnificent! It is definitely worth spending a couple bucks to get! Heather's shop (www.LoadedLacquer.com) will be reopening around April 20th, 2014. So don't waste ANY time! She has a tendency of selling out quickly!

I hope that these swatches, and "amateur reviews" helped you decide to buy (or not to buy) this collection. I'll tell you this, I personally own 18 Loaded Lacquer babies, and I am in love with ALL of them! Her customer service, and shipping dates are wonderful, and quick, and if you keep track on Instagram (@LoadedLacquer), and Facebook (Loaded Lacquer), you could come across an awesome sale, or discount code!

Loaded Lacquer

I first discovered indie polishes a few months ago from Instagram. Loaded Lacquer was the first indie brand I was ever able to purchase. And let me tell you, Heather (the beautiful mind behind Loaded Lacquer), is absolutely amazing! Her polishes are stunning! I bought 5 bottles my first time visiting her site! I have 6 total Loaded Lacquer lovlies, but hoping to buy more very soon!

All polish names are linked to their corresponding shop, so if you would like to purchase any of the beautiful polishes pictured, just simply click their name!

My first purchase!

Multi sized matte mint hexagons and dots, metallic gunmetal hexagons, holographic gunmetal hexagons in a clear base to make this metal minty beauty!
This is probably my favorite of my collection! The Glitters are beautiful, and go so well with each other, but the name is just epic! This only took 2 good layers on a black base for the accent nail to achieve opacity. Pictured is with top coat. Stunning!
It even made my nubs look good!
Iridescent orange, green, blue, purple, gold and red hexagons, squares and flakies in a clear base.
This is definitely an amazing glitter bomb! It is jam packed with hypnotizing flakies! My favorite look so far is over a black base. But it works will with so many other colors! This is 1 coat with top coat over a black base.
Beautiful Macro over a black base:
A haunting duo chrome and micro glitter with multi-sized metallic rose hexagons in a black base.
Do I really have to say much about this gorgeous rosy glitter bomb!? It's jaw-dropping! It only took 2 coats with no color base to become opaque. Pictured is also with top coat.
Multiple shades of gold, and copper hexagons as well as iridescent glitter in a clear base.
GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! GORGEOUS! Just lose yourself in the gold, and copper party happening in these swatches! It's even shiny with a matte top coat! Say what!? 3 coats to achieve my extreme opacity on my accent nails over a black base. Pictured with top coat.
Also extremely gorgeous with Essie's Matte About You:
Light blue dots, iridescent hex and square, matte white hex, transparent white hex and blue holographic micro-glitter in an icy blue sheer base.
Pictured over Essie's Rock the Boat as a base, and a cute Santa's Coat accent nail. I experimented with a few different base colors for 40 Below, because the icy blue sheer base would've taken me quite a few coats to get the look I was going for. Rock the Boat won! This is 2 coats of 40 Below over 2 coats of Essie's Rock the Boat with top coat.
Plum, periwinkle, yellow, marigold, cotton candy pink, purple and white hex and squares and holographic sparkle in a clear base.
This glitter topper just screams Easter to me! It's just so...fluffy! How else could you describe this beautiful, light, pastel perfect glitter!? This is 1 coat plus top coat over OPI - You're Such a Budapest, Essie - Mint Candy Apple, Lime Crime - Parfait Day, China Glaze - Lemon Fizz.
